Cardiff Comic Expo 2011

Yesterday, the Comic Expo brand hosted their 1st ever convention in Wales, at Cardiff’s Mercure Holland House Hotel. Sponsored by Forbidden Planet International, guests included Kris Carter (Transformers / Torchwood), Matt Savage (Dark Knight / Kickass), Declan Shalvey (28 Days Later) and Dylan Teague (Judge Dredd), among many, many others. I wouldn’t say I’m a die-hard comic fan, although I do own a fair amount of Graphic Novels (and we all know about my Wonder Woman ‘thing’). If you know me personally, then you will be aware of my love for Wonder Woman. This canvas is now hanging in my bedroom (I am running out of wall space). I have to say that I’m really pleased with it – it’s just a simple acrylic on canvas job that was pretty quick to do, but the block colours are really effective. It jumps at you across the room. She is watching. It seems I will never have a ‘grown up’ home.
