Mail Art Monday: A Monster is born

March 26, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

In last week’s Mail Art post, Jessica Gowling commented that she had created a MA Monster, and judging by the amount of art that’s stuffed into my weekly posts she might be right! The past week has seen some more postcards, embroidered photographs and Arty Slides arrive at their destinations, and I’ve had a couple of great mail days myself! OUTGOING I’m still getting such wonderful feedback on the embroidered postcard I did a few weeks ago that I figured I should continue the ‘series’ for as long as my eyes and fingers will let me. Mail Art Monday: Playing Catchup

March 19, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

I missed my Mail Art Monday post last week because things were just too manic to be able to photograph and write as well as I wanted to, so this week I have quite a few incoming and outgoing pieces to share with you, and lots more still on their way to new homes around the world. So to start my experimenting I got to work with an old Wonder Woman comic and lots of PVA glue. As often happens, I made it up as I went along, but I have to say I’m rather pleased with the outcome! These, along [...]

Mail Art Monday : New Friends

March 6, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

OK, so I know it’s not Monday, but it was when I started to write this post! It’s been a very long, hot, fun-filled weekend for me (in Benalmadena for my cousin’s hen weekend!) but also totally exhausting, so it’s taken me a while to recover. So today is a very Monday sort of Tuesday, which is good enough for me! I’ve been a bit quiet on the Mail Art blogging front lately. That’s because I joined IUOMA (International Union of Mail-Artists) on the recommendation of new MA friend Tarah (@MissThundercat), and it’s filled my diary up even more than it already [...]
