# 269 // Vizualize.me
September 26, 2011 in Blog, Thing a Day
I’ve been having a bit of a play with vizualize.me, a site that lets you ‘Vizualize your resume in one click’ to create an infographic style version of the info on your Linkedin profile. Still in beta stage, I first had a look at it a month or so ago when I managed to bag myself an early access invitation, and I immediately saw its potential. The number of different themes is still a bit limited, but the concept is great, and I can see many people using vizualize.me to jazz up their CVs. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.
With these infographic CVs so easy to create they’ll soon cease to be ‘different’, and ‘jazzed up’ will either go out of fashion or, most likely I think, saturate the world of employers to the point where it puts them off. Only time will tell. Either way, I think people need to be careful; I’ve come across many employers in my lifetime who would not ‘get’ this at all, and outside of industries that are (however loosely) creative, I’m not sure that many employers will go for them… and anyone within the creative industries would be expected to create their own!
Nevertheless, an inspiring idea. You can take a closer look at my ‘infographic CV’ (and get one of your own) at http://vizualize.me/sarahchurchill
