A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Eleanor at Illustrators Wales, who asked if I would like to showcase one of my illustrations as part of their Valentine’s Day feature. The post is now live, and also features works by Lauren Mari Ellis,  Huw Barrett, Tim Smith (aka My Poor Brain) and Emma Holton In case you’ve missed my many plugs over the past couple of weeks, this illustration (among others) is available as a print and all sorts of other lovely things in my shop NOW!

Today’s ‘thing’ is my submission to the Haus Stories project, set up and run by the lovely Sandra Dieckmann. She is a very busy lady! I am VERY pleased with how it’s turned out. The bird was based on an old canvas I painted a couple of years back, and I thought he was due a new lease of life. Hope you like it!

Thanks to all of my new creative contacts on twitter, I’ve dusted off my sketchbook! Anyone who knows me will remember the teenage me carrying a sketchbook with me at all times, and if I didn’t have it I’d draw on anything. When I chose graphic design as my career path, my art teacher had a mini fit and tried to talk me out of it – ‘you draw and sew!’ Without realising it, over the years I’ve ditched the sketchbook in favour of my mac.
