Mail Art Monday: Great Expectations

January 7, 2013 in Mail Art, Slideshow

I’m finally recovering from the lurgy that’s held me hostage since New Year’s Eve, and am back in the driving seat. I won’t go on about making New Year Resolutions and promising to blog more this year… that’d just be setting myself up for a fall, and I don’t want blogging to become a chore. I should blog more often, but then I should be doing a lot of things that I never seem to have the time or energy to implement. So, I’ll just say that I hope to blog more in 2013 – and to do some blog-worthy stuff! I don’t think you’d really want to hear about my ‘The Inbetweeners’ marathon on Netflix, or how I managed to hurt myself 3 times this morning just walking into the office. Or would you?

Anyhoo, this week I have only one outgoing Mail Art package to show, but thankfully a handful of creative and colourful incoming pieces to share with you…

Mail Art Monday: December Catchup

November 18, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

It’s been a while since my  last Mail Art Monday post, and I’ve had a lot of catching up to do! Work commitments have left me with no time to blog, but I did steal some minutes to post out some Mail Art over the past month, and together with the masses of wonderful mail I’ve received I have LOTS to show you! Please forgive me for not writing much about some of these – they are all VERY appreciated, and I have enjoyed receiving and studying them all. But, y’know, it’s Christmas Eve, and there’s a lot to get through. So [...]

Mail Art Monday: Invitations

November 12, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

Monday again, and another Mail Art post. For the first time, I have no Outgoing mail to show you! My post is idly wandering on its way to new homes. I do have some nice finds in my mailbox to show you though…! INCOMING First in this week was this package from ‘E’ (France), asking me to give Brain Cell to the project of Ryosuke Cohen. M Nidham (Oman) sent this colourful envelope containing an invitation to his Mail Art Exhbition – the first ever in Oman. The invitation comes inside an envelope that looks like an airmail envelope – an [...]

November 5, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

Hello November! How you’ve snuck up on me.

Winter’s setting in, and as promised, I’ve been catching up with my mail art duties…

Mail Art Monday : Anti-souvenir plastics

October 22, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

I’m still catching up with owed mailart, and my list is shrinking! After a much needed sortout (and supply cull) in my studio this weekend, I’ve managed to get a fair few cards in the post.

Here’s a roundup of the Mail Art that’s reached new homes this week…

Monday. We meet again.

Here’s a roundup of the Mail Art that’s been coming and going this week.

Mail Art Monday: Pretty Patterns

October 1, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

You may (or may not!) have noticed that there was no Mail Art Monday post last week. A business trip to London filming for an excitingly big client kept me busy and away from my postbox, so I’m playing catchup this week. So, here we go… OUTGOING I don’t have too many outgoing pieces to show you this week, because I’ve just been too busy to send them out, so here’s a few pieces that I sent a while ago, and should have arrived at their new homes by now. A little while ago, Emily Garrison sent some fabric flowers to [...]

Mail Art Monday: Wonder Roadkill

September 17, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

Welcome to another Mail Art Monday! OUTGOING Lindsay Stewart‘s (Canada) first postcard to me showed a sense of humour similar to my own, so I sent this reply off to her hoping that she’d see the funny side! Lynn Radford (USA) received a rather happy looking bee – and why wouldn’t he be happy?! Look at all those flowers! Martha W Bush received this bright ‘Quiet tonight’ postcard. And finally Alicia Starr (USA) was the recipient of this postcard based on a cartoon strip called ‘Yobs’. INCOMING New friend Judy Staroscik (USA) sent a cute stripy envelope full of treasures from Judy, a new [...]

Mail Art Monday: Zombie Feet

September 10, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

Hello! Here we are, another Monday, which means more mail art! OUTGOING Arriving at new homes this week … Janine Weiss received this package filled with Arty Slides, collages, a sketch and some art supplies. Meanwhile, Amy Irwen received this first BuddyJam ATC, while I kept the second for my own collection. You can see the ATCs as they were, when Amy sent them my way in this post. Last week I announced that  Zombie Kitty Kawaii! had arrived for her stay here in Wales. She was a little neglected during the week – accompanying me to work she had to amuse [...]

Mail Art Monday: ZKK2 comes to stay

September 3, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

September already?! It’ll be Christmas before we know it! In the meantime, here’s a run-down of the mail I’ve been sending and receiving this week… OUTGOING My outgoing mail has been a bit quiet this week, with only a handful of envelopes setting off. These two went to penpals in the U.S… … while this birdie went to a penpal in London. I have some new stencils that I’ve been using with inks and sponges to decorate everything (quite literally anything that’s left on my desk long enough!) These FREEPOST envelopes didn’t escape the stencils either! INCOMING Arac knows my [...]
