Mail Art Monday: ZKK2 comes to stay

September 3, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

September already?! It’ll be Christmas before we know it! In the meantime, here’s a run-down of the mail I’ve been sending and receiving this week… OUTGOING My outgoing mail has been a bit quiet this week, with only a handful of envelopes setting off. These two went to penpals in the U.S… … while this birdie went to a penpal in London. I have some new stencils that I’ve been using with inks and sponges to decorate everything (quite literally anything that’s left on my desk long enough!) These FREEPOST envelopes didn’t escape the stencils either! INCOMING Arac knows my [...]

Mail Art Monday: Splashes of Colour

July 2, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

This week, my mailbox has been summer-ified* with splashes of bright colours from around the world, and though it’s still raining outside, it’s brightened me up no-end. Let me share them with you, but first I’ll force upon you some of my pieces that reached their destinations this week. *making up words is my new pastime OUTGOING Stephanie Blake, who sent me the most wonderful plastic encased art, received a Wonder Woman embroidery that I made especially for her… … as well as some Arty Slides to kick off her relatively new collection. I’ve been a bit quieter with both [...]

OUTGOING First off, 3 postcards made from a large collage found their way to Suus in Mokum (Netherlands), Laura Daniels and Stripygoose (both in the UK). Valentine Mark Herman received a set of 4 game themed Arty Slides for display in his upcoming exhibition in Sigean, France. Pen-pal Christa Sagmoe in the US received my [...]

Mail Art Monday: Trouser Chairs

May 14, 2012 in Mail Art, Slideshow

Happy Monday (if there is such a thing!) Here’s a run-down of the Mail Art happenings at my place this week. OUTGOING I’ll kick off this week with this machine stitched card for Amy Irwen in the US. The circus flyer in the middle was picked up in Spain, and I felt the ace of spades fitted in well to make this almost sinister looking card. She likes it, though, thankfully! Patrice Keats finally received this ‘card’, made from lots of little cereal box circles sandwiched between craft paper and some red ‘mesh’. It’s held together with some proudly neat [...]
